Record turnout at the Embassy Event Expo

A record 200 diplomats from around 90 countries attended this year’s Embassy Event Expo to help with their preparations for a very busy year of summits in the UK, including the Global Summit Against Sexual Violence in Conflict in June, followed by the Commonwealth Games in July, WWI Commemorations in August and then the NATO Summit in September.

Embassy staff heard briefings from VIP Visits experts, organisers of the Commonwealth Games and the Ministry of Defence about plans for these upcoming meetings. They were also able to network with a wide range of service providers to help them plan their visits and events programmes. The packed afternoon ended with a convivial wine reception and a prize draw – a great way to start the weekend.

Sandy Boyer (Hunt & Palmer) meets Mr Yaoyun Yang (China)
