AERL meets Lord Mayor

Members of the Association of Economic Representatives in London were invited to a briefing with the Lord Mayor of London Alderman David Lewis within the plush surroundings of his official residence, Mansion House.

AERL members were given an introduction to the role of the Lord Mayor. As head of the City of London, the Lord Mayor presides over its governing bodies. He also has a much wider ambassadorial role – working for British business as a whole as well as supporting and promoting the world's leading international financial centre, both at home and abroad with a number of visits.

His position as spokesman for the business community is enhanced by the apolitical nature of his office.
