What's it all about?
he Embassy Education Conference brings together London’s diplomatic community with representatives at top education institutions to strengthen academic partnerships and debate UK education policy. It is also an opportunity for diplomats to meet influential policy makers at key government departments.

As Brexit negotiations finally get under way, one of the areas of discussion is likely to be Britain’s participation in EU higher education and research programmes. Also on the agenda will be a discussion on the newly-published Higher Education and Research Act that received Royal Assent just before the snap election as well as new student migration policy. New for this year is a session in partnership with the Department for International Trade examining the role of education partnerships in boosting skills, employability and growth.

Education Attachés – to hear from policy makers, experts and to network with international officers at UK universities, colleges and schools
Consuls/Welfare Officers – to hear the latest student visa policies

Trade/economic attachés – to explore partnership with education suppliers to boost education, skills and economic growth
