The Foreign Minister of Ecuador, Ricardo Patino, has accused Britain of abusing the human rights of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange by refusing to give him safe passage to Ecuador where he has been granted asylum.

Patino said he planned to visit the whistle blower in near the future. Assange will mark a year as a refugee in the Ecuadorian Embassy on 20 June.
