#Bringbackourgirls demo at Nigerian HC

The Nigerian High Commission was the scene of angry protests for several weeks, as people demanded more action from the Nigerian government to rescue the 234 schoolgirls abducted by terrorist outfit Boko Haram.

Joining one rally was London Green MEP Jean Lambert, who said: “This awful kidnapping is just the latest in a long line of security incidents in Nigeria, and the Government must act, not just to bring back these girls, but to guarantee the security of all.”

Demands for the government to accept international assistance grew louder as news of the girls’ kidnap spread following a global Twitter campaign.

Britain, France, Israel and several other countries donated experts in surveillance and hostage negotiations and American planes have been surveying the region. France organised an international summit at which regional leaders pledged to share intelligence and coordinate action against Boko Haram.
