London’s economic attachés visited the brand-new Rolls Building, the largest business court in the world, where disputes between international companies are resolved.
AERL members were given a briefing by an expert panel from the CityUK – an organisation for the UK’s financial services industry.
They were given a market overview of the UK’s financial services, after which the impact of regulatory reform in the EU and the UK’s new Financial Services Bill was debated.
The CityUK also lobbies government and recently convinced the UK government to put in a bid to be the home of the new European Patents Court. It is also keen to share perspectives with London’s trade missions on possibilities for public-private partnerships.
