Argentina Bicentenary
The prime beef dished up was incredible as always and new Ambassador to London, R Carlos Sersale di Cerisano, made a stirring speech on the occasion of Argentina’s bicentenary. But it was a precious pooch that stole the show at this year’s Argentina National Day Celebrations. Dogplomat Mylene, the pug belonging to the Ambassador’s partner Linette de Jager, proudly wore a blue and white ribbon and charmed everyone who joined the Ambassador to raise a glass of the finest Malbec to 200 years of Argentina’s independence.
“The United Kingdom was the very first country to recognise our independence,” Ambassador Si Cerisano told guests, which included Ambassador Mark Kent, the new UK Ambassador to Argentina. “It shows how far back the links between our countries go. I’m delighted that we can have a celebration here in London.”
