Silence is golden
The Embassy of Austria brought down the curtain on the country’s EU presidency with a (silent) night to remember. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of Stille Nacht, the popular Christmas Carol composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, guests at the residence of Austrian Ambassador Michael Zimmerman were treated to a special preview screening of documentary Silent Night – A Song For the World, which was introduced by director Hannes Schalle. Staying with the festive theme the evening also featured traditional Christmas music from Salzburg and a performance by members of the Royal Academy of Music.
