Brazil does the Double!
The DFA-International Football League 2014-2105 season reached its climax on 18 April in an all-Latin American Diplomatic Cup final between Brazil and Argentina.
In a thrilling contest, Brazil came from behind to beat their South American rivals, Argentina, 2-1 in the Final – the sixth time in their history and for the third year in a row.
Brazil’s victory meant the team, which was also crowned DFA-IF League champions, has done ‘the Double’. A dominant force in the diplomatic league, it’s the seventh time, and the fourth year in succession, that Brazil has clinched the top spot.
Their success is in no small part due to Brazil’s long-serving manager and League Secretary Virgilio Guimaraes, who won the Manager of the Season Award, making it a clean sweep for the Brazil team.
