Culture and protocol networks launched

Two diplomatic networks for protocol and cultural attachés were launched at the recent Embassy Event Expo.

The Protocol Discussion Group is a network of protocol officers and private secretaries who will meet on a quarterly basis for informal briefings on aspects of British protocol.

A range of topics will be covered, including correct forms of address, precedence, Parliamentary and Palace protocol. The meetings will also be an opportunity to learn about protocol from other regions.

The Cultural Attaché Network is being revived as a forum for diplomats involved in cultural promotion of their countries. The CAN aims to meet on a quarterly basis in ‘cultural clusters’ in the capital where they can network with each other and meet festival organisers, curators and project managers of London’s top cultural institutions.
