Diplomatic masterchef

Team work – Danish diplomats set about making their own pasta

With the Masterchef craze sweeping Britain, the Danish Embassy decided to get a slice of the action by organising an Away Day with a difference.

Instead of paintballing or obstacle courses, the Embassy staff assembled in Vinopolis on the South Bank for a Pasta Master Class organised by event company Inneventive.

After a glass of champagne, embassy staff were given a demonstration by a professional chef, after which cultural attachés joined forces with consuls and trade attachés doubled up with the receptionists to make their very own handmade pasta.

The staff prepared their own tagliatelle ribbons and beautifully filled handmade ravioli, after which they all gathered in the dining room to feast on their own creations, served with rustic pasta sauces. Now that’s diplomatic dining with a difference.
