Envoy honoured at Oscars

Indian diplomat Vikas Swarup was recognised for his novel Q&A at this year’s Academy Awards. His book, adapted for the movie Slumdog Millionaire by Simon Beaufoy, won the Oscar for best adapted screenplay. Swarup wrote the novel in two months while posted in London.
