Managing a secure, cost-efficient and sustainable mission in London is a challenge. This seminar brings together Embassy management teams with government agencies, experts and reputable service providers to exchange ideas on how to best to run a diplomatic mission and swap notes with fellow colleagues from other missions.

  • Security and Risk Management – covering physical security of the premises, cyber security and keeping personnel safe as well as risk management, insurance and business continuity.
  • Human resources – covering relocation, UK employment and health & safety regulations, immigration requirements to sponsor foreign workers, and obligations of missions to their local staff.
  • Financial services – including banking, insurance, taxes
  • Property and facilities management – including sustainable facilities management, relocation and renovations, working with local authorities, landlords and Historic England.
  • Transport – managing a transport fleet, tax rebates for fuel and vehicle imports, liaison with local authorities, HMRC and the DVLA
