A select few ambassadors and high commissioners got hot tickets to attend Jazz Voice at the Royal Festival Hall, the gala opening of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2018, hosted by friends at Jaguar Land Rover, who sponsor this premier event on London’s cultural calendar.

Around 30 heads of mission enjoyed a pre-concert cocktail reception with sweeping views of the Thames where they were introduced to Milly Price of the Serious Trust, a charity that works to help develop talented musicians from across the world. The Trust is an integral part of Serious, world-leading producers of live music, including the London Jazz Festival.

Ambassadors got the chance to see powerhouse performances by established and exciting emerging jazz giants live, including Portuguese superstar Mariza, actress and jazz singer Lea DeLaria (from Orange is the New Black) and showstoppers from jazz queen Lisa Stansfield.
