European journey

This year the Ambassador of Kosovo Mr Lirim Greicevci celebrated his country’s National Day in the presence of its Prime Minister Mr Isa Mustafa. Addressing the guests, the Prime Minister spoke of the new opportunities opened up by the Stabilisation and Association Agreement that Kosovo has signed with the EU. He said this would enable Kosovo to become a more integrated part of the European economy, while at the same time adopting the principles of rule of law and good neighbourly relations, with the ultimate aim of becoming a member of the EU.

“We know that we have a lot to do and many challenges lie ahead, we have to learn a lot and work a lot and all this we would like to do in partnership with the UK,” he said.

The reception included an exhibition by Kosovar photographer Adnan Ruhani who documented the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2008.
