Maltese fusion

The Maltese High Commissioner’s Independence Day concert at St James’s Piccadilly has become a fixture on the diplomatic calendar. Guests enjoyed a pre-concert reception with Maltese delicacies washed down with a delightful Maltese merlot. This year’s concert was a delightful surprise too – a jazz-classical fusion featuring Alex Bezzina’s Jazz Quartet and Nadine Galea’s String Quartet, which was rather apt as Malta itself is a fusion of cultures.
