Congratulations to Simon Martin, the former FCO Director of Protocol who was awarded a CMG for his services to diplomacy in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list. Following Martin’s unflappable management during the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and 2012 Olympics, the honour is well deserved.
