The Mighty Quinn

Those curious about the huge, brass works of art that have materialised around London gathered at the Italian Cultural Institute to meet the sculptor, Lorenzo Quinn, son of Hollywood legend Anthony Quinn.
Organised by the institute’s art expert Rossana Pitelli, the evening consisted of a documentary on the work of Quinn, followed by a Q&A with the artist himself. In what turned out to be a prescient discussion, Quinn spoke about one of his most famous sculptures, Force of Nature, which was inspired by the forces unleashed in the Asian Tsunami. Two days later nature struck again – this time in Japan.
