Night at the Museum
For his first National Day in London, the recently arrived Ambassador of the UAE Mr Sulaiman Hamid Salem Almazroui chose the grand galleries of Britain’s National Gallery. The masterpieces made the perfect backdrop for the reception to celebrate the UAE’s 45th anniversary of unity, co-hosted by Dubai Culture, which was also intended as a curtain-raiser for the upcoming UK-UAE Year of Cultural Collaboration.
In his message, the Ambassador said the initiative aimed to boost cultural ties between the two nations and to “highlight the UAE as a society which attaches great attention to science and knowledge and which is rich in culture and arts”.
The Ambassador laid on a lavish Emirati feast, an example of the hospitality which is already a great cultural export of the UAE.
