Black & White Ball
Because nothing is ever black and white in diplomacy – and to celebrate the return of the YDL charity Black & White Ball – ladies were encouraged to bring a splash of colour to the occasion. The belle of the ball was undoubtedly the guest of honour HRH Princess Tessy of Luxembourg, dressed in a creation by couture designer Marcin Lobacz, who also donated one of his designs as a prize.
Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the charity Kids for Kids, which funds grassroots projects in Darfur to lift children out of abject poverty.
A passionate supporter of the charity the princess-philanthropist said it “brought a human face to the thousands of children who have a right to live in security and dignity.” She urged guests to “join the movement to make a difference…to break the cycle of violence and lack of opportunity.”
