Getting spooked: YD L members on the Jack the Ripper tour
A nervous huddle of 30 young diplomats braved a chilly London evening and the bad streets of the East End to trace the footsteps of the capital’s most notorious serial killer, Jack the Ripper.
Their guide met them at the ghostly St Botolph’s Church, and they travelled through the back alleys of East London, the setting for the unsolved crimes.
And then, everyone ended up at the The Minories pub for a pint and a bite to discuss the various theories as to the identity of the killer – was it the emigré, the writer or the duke…?
