Global maritime community marks 50 years of international ship safety treaty.
Today is #WorldMaritimeDay which highlights the importance of safety at sea in an era of significant transformations and new risks. https://tinyurl.com/3wvrhuyc
The maritime sector transports over 80% of global trade, offering a reliable, cost-effective way to move goods worldwide.

I am sorry to see that despite years of talk, gender inequality is on full display at the #UNGA General Debate.
Less than 10% of speakers this week are women.
This is unacceptable – especially when we know gender equality delivers for peace, climate action and much more.
Our priorities at UNGA are simple:
➡️ A reset with the Global South.
➡️ A reset on the climate and nature emergency and restoring our leadership on international development.
➡️ Promoting security at home and abroad.
➡️ Boosting economic growth for the UK.
"I am a committed multilateralist.”
“A reformed multilateral system is the path to peace and prosperity on a livable planet."
