UCAS

UCAS is the UK’s national shared admissions service and an independent charity dedicated to supporting students, universities, and colleges across all four nations. As a non‑profit organisation, UCAS exists for public benefit, providing centralised applications and admissions services for a wide range of subjects and study routes in further and higher education.

UCAS also operates UCAS Media, its wholly owned commercial subsidiary, which offers services to education providers and organisations wishing to engage with prospective applicants.

In 2025, UCAS launched its new corporate strategy, Next Chapter, reaffirming its commitment to fairness, transparency, and championing the student. A key focus of the strategy is identifying and removing barriers that prevent individuals from applying to or accepting places in UK education, wherever this falls within UCAS’s remit. The organisation aims to deliver greater value, efficiency, and equity while remaining institution‑ and route‑agnostic, ensuring that all applicants can make informed and confident choices about their futures.
