The new Domestic Abuse Act has just been signed into law, but what protections does this important new legislation offer at-risk migrant women? The Embassy Network, in partnership with the International Family Law Group and the Consular Corps of London, will host a Consular eForum to examine the new law, featuring a keynote address from the Chair of the APPG on Domestic Violence and Abuse, Apsana Begum MP, as well as a panel discussion with legal experts and the domestic violence charity for migrant women LAWRS to signpost what support there is for this highly vulnerable group.
